Planning the next phase of the tour

As this part of the tour is coming to an end, I have to start seriously planning the next phase, I have a week in the south of Italy with family and then another week skiing in the Dolomites where I have a ski touring course booked (for the uninitiated this is where you ski uphill instead of down!)

On my return to the UK at the end of April, I have a few days to swap gear do some laundry and then I will be crossing Europe by train with my father for 2 weeks, starting in London and ending up in Turkey. Then back to the UK for a few weeks to regroup and then the current plan (it does change regularly so don't hold your breath) is to cycle from Chichester to Aberdeen, then tour the Shetland Islands, then onto the Faroe Islands (midway between Scotland and Iceland) then onto Iceland and complete the full circle route of the island on my mountain bike, before flying back to the UK for a 2 week break. I then swap my gear again for the Ice Cap crossing of Greenland in August – this I will do on skis towing a sled for 30 days and crossing approximately 600kms of ice.

I plan to be back in the UK in early September for a few weeks and then may go off again to travel South East Asia – no more detail than that at this stage I am afraid for now, but thanks to those who asked!
